Day 10: The Soviettes. I got this shirt at Awesome Fest 4, the first weekend of September in 2010! Awesome Fest is a DIY punk Fest held in the north park area of San Diego. It’s put on by a bunch of great people and it’s spread out over 4 bar/venues and everyone has a good time! The Soviettes playing was a big deal cause it was their first reunion in a long, long time. I remember they played at the soda bar and it was packed and I was sandwiched in-between an ATM and the crowd. I was right next to the stage, it was a weird round stage so I was kind of side stage, I could see everything so it was a good spot! It was my first time seeing the Soviettes and they were amazing, I have a thing for bands with amazing, strong, talented, women in them. I always get super inspired and feel really good and vow to one day rock as much as they do. When I started going to punk shows it always seemed like such a boys club, so seeing strong females on stage makes me feel super good about how things are changing. This shirt is really soft and comfy, it’s one of those American apparel ones.

THIS IS AWESOME! I was at this show too, and yeah they fucking killed!!!!
